[Scholarship] 2026 Spring Semester International Scholarship Application Guide (Application Deadline: June 14)

A. Program Categories

1. Type 1: Support for Participation in Overseas University Exchange/Study Programs (Tuition Support)

2. Type 2: Support for Participation in Outstanding Mid- to Long-Term Overseas Programs (Living Expense Support)

3. Type 3: Support for Participation in Overseas University Exchange/Study Programs (Living Expense Support)

B. Scholarship Amount

1. Type 1:

   • Full tuition support equivalent to Korea University tuition for the Fall 2025 semester

2. Type 2:

   • Support for program-related expenses, up to KRW 5,000,000

3. Type 3:

   • Support for program-related expenses, up to KRW 5,000,000

C. Eligibility

1. The overseas study/program period must have begun during the Fall 2025 semester (September 2025 – February 2026).

   • Students dispatched to overseas programs during Spring 2026 will be eligible to apply during the following academic year.

2. As of Spring 2026, applicants must be:

   • Graduate students enrolled in the General Graduate School, or

   • Graduate students enrolled in a Professional Graduate School participating in the BK21 FOUR program

   • Students from the College of Medicine and Sejong Campus are not eligible.

3. Additional Notes

   • Type 1: Research-registration students are not eligible.

   • Types 2 and 3: Research-registration students are eligible to apply.

   • Scholarship recipients must maintain an active student or research-registration status during the payment period (scheduled for August 2026). Students who are on leave of absence, withdrawn, dismissed, or graduated at that time will not be eligible to receive the scholarship.

D. Application Procedure

1. Individual application through the KUPID Portal:

   • KUPID → Registration/Scholarship → Scholarship → Graduate School Scholarship Application

2. Application Deadline:

   • June 14, 2026 (Sun)

   • Only applications submitted within the designated period will be considered.

3. Applicants may not apply for both Type 1 and Type 2 simultaneously.

4. Students who have already received financial support through another program, project, or funding source for the same purpose are not eligible to apply.

E. Scholarship Payment Schedule

• Scholarships are scheduled to be distributed in July 2026.
